Athens

Well we walked quite a way to the railway staion to catch the metro to the Acropolis. We found it no worries and went up the 200 steps to see the Parthenon and other temples on top of this hill with a 360 view over the city and ocean. We saw Mars hill where Paul preached about God being the one true God.
We walked through the Plaka district which is the oldest part of Athens and stopped at a cafe for lunch. We ordered greek salad, mousakka and wifi. We talked to Joel on skype and checked emails. We bought a couple of tshirts and caught the train back. The metro station entrance that we had walked to was rather 'hidden' by the tents of protestors camped out in a park in front of parliament house - it was peaceful while we were there.

Back on the ship we had an icecream with a selection of desserts. I had guava flavour while Jim had cinnamon and then went up to the pool area for a complimentary massage treatment. We then hopped into the spa for a while. People are very friendly and our room attendant makes the bed twice a day and leaves chocolates on the bed each night.
In the evening we went to the show which was an illusionist who was very good at making his assistant disappear and appear etc.
