Mykonos
Today was the first really windy day. Started off overcast but clouds gone by lunch time. We docked at 7am and had to get a shuttle bus to Mykonos town which was a very cute place to wander around. We were ambling along hoping to come across the bus station through the white houses and narrow lanes with bouganvillia everywhere and ended up at the windmills which was still good and not far from the public bus station as it turned out. We took the bus to one of the other beaches .We thought this would be a good way to see more of the island. We chose to go to Paradise beach a 15min drive and then walked from there back to Paraga beach via a clifftop walk. The path was very close to the edge of the cliff in places and a bit hairy with the wind blowing a gale. Very scenic though and the water colour was amazing! These are noted party beaches but it was too windy for anyone to be out partying . We caught the bus back and wandered the streets back but they looked different now with all the shops open. Bought some olive oil soap.
We got back to the ship soon after lunchtime and had a grilled salmon at the heathy cafe on board. I am sure we are eating way more than normal so overall it really can't be that healthy.
When we left Mykonos the boat was rocking side to side quite a bit in the large swells. Wind is strong but no sign of storms.
We had dinner with the american family with 2 teenagers and the older english couple. The show tonight was a guy who played unusual intrumments including and instrument you actually dont touch. It works using antenas using electro magnetic radiation. His main instrument was the vibraphone. He could play drums, piano, flute and violin by the time he was 12 years old.
